What is Tap Dance?
Tap classes at FVDM are designed to teach coordination and rhythm skills. As dancers progress, steps will get increasingly more intricate and complex rhythm patterns will be explored.
What is Jazz Dance?
Jazz consists of strong, sharp, placed movements executed to today’s music. Jazz develops agility and coordination while instilling a sense of rhythm and interpretation of the music. Theater style choreography and hip hop style moves makes this class a favorite.
What is Lyrical/Contemporary Dance?
Lyrical/ Contemporary classes at FVDM combine the technical elements of dance with feelings and emotions. Dancers tell a story with fluid and smooth movement.
Royal Tea Party
This Leap n’ Learn creative movement/ beginner Ballet class for 3-4 year olds introduces baby ballerinas to the beginning steps of Ballet and encourages dancers to use their creativity and imagination with the use of fun props! Our 5 week summer session will feature music from the Disney princesses and dancers will receive their very own princess tiara to wear in class!

Boogie with Bluey
This 45 min Tap & Acro combo class for ages 3-4 is designed to enhance gross motor skills, musicality, and learn beginner Tap steps and primary Acrobatic tricks all in this super fun and creative class! Dancers in this 5 week summer session will groove with Bluey, tumble with Bingo, and wiggle till they giggle! They will also receive their very own BLUEY ears to wear in class!

Stuffies in Storyland
This 45-minute Tap & Acro combo class for ages 3-4 is designed to enhance gross motor skills, musicality, and learn beginner Tap steps and primary Acrobatic tricks all in this super fun and creative class! Dancers in this 5-week summer session can bring their favorite stuffed animal to each class to take care of, dance with, and tag along for all the fun activities!

Nutcracker Land of Sweets
This 45-minute Ballet class for AGES 5-6 is the next step in our award-winning Leap n’ Learn early childhood curriculum. Young ballerinas will learn new Ballet steps and continue to build strong technique all while continuing to use their creativity. This 5-week summer session will explore the Nutcracker Ballet and the Land of Sweets! Dancers will receive their very own Nutcracker plush to dance with in class!

Super Friends
Calling all superheroes! From Spidey, Paw Patrol, to PJ Masks & more, we will tumble and climb our way through all of the obstacle courses to save the day! Includes your very own superhero cape and mask! This class is created for AGES 4-6.

Squishy PJ Party
This 45 min Tap & Jazz combo class for AGES 5-6 year olds. This high-energy class introduces dancers to more complex rhythms of Tap, and the “fun”damentals of Jazz, while working on developing more coordination and balance in both styles of dance! Dancers in this 5 week summer session can bring their favorite squishmallow to class AND wear their favorite PJ’s over their dance clothes for a “pajammin'” good time!

Swift Moves Jazz
Get ready to live in YOUR dance “era” in this Taylor Swift-themed class! This 50-minute Jazz class for ages 7 & up will focus on developing proper technique, flexibility, leaps and turns, and more all while dancing through all of the Swift eras! The class meets once per week for 5 weeks.
